You have two options to set up a domain for your blog:

Subdomain via Julep Hosting

This is the easiest and fastest way. You can choose the name. Click on "Edit Podcast --> General" in your podcast settings and enter a name in the "Subdomain" field. Use a combination of numbers, letters and hyphens, anything else is not allowed. Below the field you will see a preview of what your subdomain will look like, e.g. https://my-testpodcast.blogs.julephosting.de.

Own domain

If you already have your own domain, you can connect it to your blog. Here we distinguish between:

1. subdomain (e.g. www.worlds-best-podcast.de):

Enter the subdomain in the podcast settings and create a CNAME record for your Julep Hosting domain with your domain provider. Example: You have chosen the subdomain bester-podcast-der-welt.julephosting.de and want your podcast blog to be found via www.worlds-best-podcast.de. Then your CNAME record must look like this

Record type: CNAME

Entry: www

Target: best-podcast-in-the-world.julephosting.com

Now it takes about an hour until the DNS server has updated. Now go to your overview page and click on the name of the podcast you want to connect. In the tab "Blog" you enter the domain. Now you will see your Julep Hosting blog when you call up the domain.

2. root domain (e.g. worlds-best-podcast.de).

Not every provider allows root domains. If your provider supports, for example DNSimple (ALIAS), then the record is like this

Record type: ALIAS

Entry: <empty> or @

Target: best-podcast-in-the-world.julephosting.com

If a root domain is not possible with your provider, create a subdomain á la www.bester-podcast-der-welt.de and redirect your root domain there. If this is done, it takes about an hour until the DNS server is updated. Now go to your overview page and click on the name of the podcast you want to connect. In the tab "Blog" you enter the domain. Now you will see your Julep Hosting blog when you go to the domain.
